A sarcastic reference to the mindset shaped by the Soviet ideology. This term was coined by the Soviet writer Aleksandr Zinovyev as a title of his book published in 1986.
The main traits of Homo Sovieticus: indifference to the results of his work and to common property, lack of goodwill and initiative, cynicism, diminished personal responsibility for the wellbeing of family and country.
