29 Jul Dédushka
In Russian, a grandfather (informal, corresponding to English Grandpa or Grand Dad.) Also generic for describing or addressing an older man.
Dédushka / Ded Frost (Ded Moroz) is the Russian version of Santa Claus. Unlike his Western counterpart, he travels with his granddaughter Snow Maiden. Her name Snegurochka is derived from the word Sneg which means snow.
